Christmas 2009 Wrap-Up (Happy New Year!)

Hello everyone!  I realize I should have written a post shortly after my big trip last week, but we had a lot of loose ends to tie up when I got back to the North Pole, so I never got a chance, and I apologize!

Thursday night was a crazy one, but I made it!  As I mentioned before, there was a record number of names on the nice list this year, so my 2009 trip around the world was extra long!  But no matter how long the trip was, it was still fun for me like always!  Ho!  Ho!  Ho!

Now that I’m home again, the elves, the reindeer, Mrs. Claus and I are taking the rest of the year off and enjoying our annual vacation, which actually lasts about a month.  But at the beginning of February we’ll be back at it getting ready and making preparations and improvements for our Christmas 2010 operations!  It’s a never-ending job and we love it!  :)

As a final note, I’d like to mention that I just updated the video archive page, so now all my videos from 2009 are posted on the site for all to see!

I hope everyone around the world has a wonderful new year!  I’ll see you all again very soon. :)

Sincerely,
Santa Claus

5 Days & Counting!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Busy! Busy! Busy!

Can you believe it?!  My big trip is only 5 days away!  My how time flies when the Christmas season hits!  The elves and I have been burning the midnight oil for weeks now getting all these toys finished up and wrapped for you!

We’ve had lots of Christmas letters come in this year, and I’m still trying to get through them all!  But don’t worry, I’m almost done (just in case you were worried I wouldn’t get to yours)!  I’ve enjoyed each and everyone of them, and there is a record number of you on the nice list this year!  That makes things even more hectic around here because that just means more toys to deliver and more stockings to fill than past years.

The last few days of videos on the websites, iPhone app and Android app will show me busy with my final preparations before the big trip, as well as the big trip itself!  Just like last year, I want to thank you (and your moms and dads too) for following me via my video feature, and I look forward to bringing the videos to you again next year!

Well, time to get back to work.  We’ve got a lot to do yet and it’s almost time to load the sleigh!  I also have to feed the reindeer yet this evening.  They are starting to get a little impatient!  :)

See you soon (while visions of sugar plums dance in your head)!

Sincerely,

Santa Claus

Holy Snowflakes!

Well, it looks like winter has finally arrived for much of the United States, if not the rest of the world!  I’ve been watching the storm going through the states and it looks like quite the doozy!  Ho! Ho! Ho!  That’s good news for me, as it makes it easier for me to land and take off on your rooftop Christmas Eve!

I also wanted to tell all of you, my friends, that I just put up a video archive page on www.iphonesanta.com and www.thetruenorthpole.com so you can catch up on my video posts if you happened to miss a day.  You will see a link below the videos on the homepage that will let you go to that page.

Well, no snow days for me up here!  I suppose that’s probably because it’s always snowing up here!  Ho! Ho! Ho!  Back to work!

Sincerely,
Santa Claus

Report from the I.T. Elves

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to write a blog post to give you a quick update on the website videos, for those of you who are wondering.  We ran into some minor technical difficulties this morning and should have things patched up this afternoon.  The video for today will then be posted.  We apologize for the inconvenience!

Those of you with an iPhone or Android supported device are not affected by this issue.  It only delays the website video from being posted.  It will be there soon!

Sincerely,
Santa Claus (and the I.T. Elves)

UPDATE: The new video is up on both www.iphonesanta.com and www.thetruenorthpole.com. Thank you for your patience! Ho! Ho! Ho!

December is Here!

Happy December Friends!

I have several bits of good news to share with you today!  First of all, only 23 days until Christmas Eve!  How exciting!  On that same topic, remember to send your letters to me soon!  I’ve enjoyed all of the letters I’ve received so far, and I look forward to reading yours!

More good news on the technology stuff here at the North Pole: the iPhone and Android apps are now available!  Check out the iPhone App and Android App pages on my site (upper right hand corner of the site) or go directly to the iTunes App Store or Android Market to down them now!  My videos start tomorrow, December 2nd!

If you don’t have an iPhone or Google Android phone, you can still follow me and watch the videos right here on my site!  The videos will be updated daily, so check back every evening with your mom and dad’s permission!  And from the letters I’ve gotten so far, it seems that moms, dads, and grandparents all over enjoy watching my videos too!

Don’t forget that St. Nicholas’ Day is in a few days!  Do you do anything to celebrate that day?  I know some people do, so that’s why I’m reminding you!  :)

Anyway, back to work.  We still have a lot of toys to make and preparations to plan for!  Ho! Ho! Ho!

Sincerely,
Santa Claus

Tis the Season!

Hello Moms, Dads, and Children!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween this past weekend.  Did you get all kinds of goodies while trick or treating? :)

Now that it’s officially November, the 2009 Christmas season is fully underway!  The elves are extending their daily work shifts starting tonight and the reindeer start their exercises and flying training camp next week to warm up for the big trip!  But I’m sure the North Pole isn’t the only place that’s turning their gears up to 11!  From what I hear via the Internet, the stores are ready for shoppers, the weather is starting to get colder, and the children’s eyes are beginning to glow!  What an exciting time this is!

Despite all the Christmas hub-bub that’s already starting, don’t forget the one other holiday that usually gets lost in the shuffle: Thanksgiving!  That one is only a few weeks away.  The annual North Pole Thanksgiving dinner is one I look forward to every year as it’s the one solid day of vacation we take during the busy season in order to reflect on everything that we are thankful for.  Hopefully you do the same!

Sincerely,
Santa Claus

Welcome to Christmas 2009!

Ho! Ho! Ho!  Welcome to my new website, the official site of the North Pole and the 2009 Christmas season!  This year, I’m really getting my hands (and the reindeers’ paws) dirty in this new fangled technology era by providing you several ways to keep track of me throughout the holiday season.  For starters, we launched this brand new beautiful website as the official gateway to the North Pole and my home!  Also, I will be posting regular updates via popular sites such as Twitter, Facebook and hopefully Flickr.

In addition to those things, you will be able to track me through a series of videos for the second year in a row via the Santa Live iPhone app!  With all these ways to keep track of me nowadays, I’m really going to have to step up my invisible ninja skills and magic efforts to stay on my toes!

Well, I gotta run for now.  Mrs. Claus says it’s time for dinner.  I look forward to talking with you all and receiving your 2009 Christmas letters soon!

Sincerely,
Santa Claus
